Melaleuca thymifolia is a dense mounded mauve coloured shrub. It has clumps of beautiful and attractive purple-pink flowers that are produced every now and then all year round. It can be used as a low growing hedge, but are also great for pots or shrubberies. This low maintenance and a charming flower has the ability to tolerate drought and frost. If the foliage is crushed, it produces a spicy fragrance. Its sweet fragrance attracts nectar-loving birds and insects.
