Also known as the lacy tree fern this fast-growing,
evergreen, Australian native tree fern is a
spectacular addition to most gardens
FEATURES: A robust tree fern with large lacy fronds up to 3m
long on a stout, oval-patterned trunk. Hair-like, light coloured
scales on the trunk give this plant its common name
CONDITIONS: Suitable for most moist soils in a wide range
of positions. Prefers a frost-free, humid environment. Will
tolerate full sun if well watered.
FOR BEST RESULTS: Use a good quality mulch to maintain
good soil moisture. Fertilise with an organic fertiliser or well-rotted manure to encourage vigorous growth.
