Rhaphiolepis Apple Blossom is an evergreen, rounded shape shrub with a dense bushy growth habit. It produces glossy and leathery toothed leaves that make perfect low hedges. It features clusters of rosy pink flowers in late winter and early spring that cover almost the entire plant. Suited to the most climates, Rhaphiolepis is tolerant to frost and dry conditions once established. The shrub can be planted in most soil types. However, good drainage and adequate moisture are required for better growth. If growing as a hedge, it will need pruning between November and January. Give it a balanced fertiliser for the first few weeks after planting.
