Native to Brazil and Northern Argentina, this vigorous evergreen vine produces black fruit from Spring to Autumn. Its fruit pulp tastes sweet and is orange in colour. The tree bears fruit in 18 months and can tolerate light frost. Delicious egg-shaped fruit, climbing vine and attractive flowers make it a good addition to any garden. Passion Fruit prefers full sun except in extremely hot regions. Regular watering and organic fertiliser keep the vine flowering and fruit continuously. It can grow in almost all soil types but light to heavy sandy loams are well-suited.
