Also called as Camellia ‘Setsugekka,’ Camellia ‘Snow,’ Fall Blooming Camellias, Camellia sasanqua Setsugekka is famous for its semi-double, sparkling white flowers. This beautiful fall flower is tender in color, graceful in form and pleasing in fragrance. With crimped and undulated petals, the dark-green foliage of this shrub builds an attractive evergreen espalier or planting. This medium-sized evergreen plant enjoys dense, semi-weeping, upright habit with cascading and arching branches. Grows up to 7 to 10 cm (3 to 4 inches), this scented shrub offers a site sheltered from dry and cold winds. Best grown in moist, well-drained, acidic, organically rich soils. Perfect as hedges, screens and for espaliers, woodland gardens.
