This eye-pleasing succulent plant belongs to the ice plant family known by the common names like Baby Sun Rose, Red Aptenia and Heartleaf Iceplant. This fast-growing, evergreen plant produces four-angled (600 mm) long stems which grow flat on the ground. Green fleshy leaves and bright magenta pink flowers give it a distinctive attribute. The colour of flowers may vary from red to purple depending on the environment the plant growing in. Flowers are self-fertilized, bloom from August to April and entice hummingbirds. Baby Sun Rose better sparkles as a ground cover plant or rock garden plants.
