Commonly known as Native Hibiscus, Melissa Anne or Alyogyne hakeifolia is a highly decorative, fast-growing shrub. The plant blooms beautiful looking pink flowers with a dark red centre from Spring to Autumn, makes it an appealing exotic feature plant. Native to Kalbarri, Western Australia, the plant grows well in well-drained soils, in big containers, in sunny sites for earlier and bigger flower display. Grows up to 2 metre high and 1.5 metre wide, suitable for wider roadside plantings, parks, and more. Prefers well-drained soils and performs well in full sun, and needs trimming once a year to maintain dense habit and shape.
