DESCRIPTION: This rare species forms a low,
spreading shrub with soft, grey-green, narrow
foliage. In spring it bears unusual small, red,
jug-shaped flowers at the ends of branches.
USES: An ornamental plant, which is suitable
for shrubberies and general garden use. The
flowers attract ncctar feeding birds.
POSITION: Best grown in full or part sun in
well drained soil. Tolerates light frost and dry
CARE: Prune back after flowering to maintain
PLANTING: Cultivate soil before planting.
Dig hole twice the width of the container.
Remove plant from container and place into the
hole so the soil level is the same as the
surrounding ground. Fill hole firmly and water
in well even if the soil is moist.
