Description
Delosperma Cooperi commonly known as Trailing Ice plant is a dwarf plant that acts as a groundcover and flourishes in the most difficult, sandy, rocky, and dry situations. This succulent has evergreen large foliage with bright pink flowers. The reason why the plant is called an “Ice Plant” is due to its shimmer which appears to be that of ice crystals. The hardy plants can tolerate dry conditions, very hot weather, and also frosts. They can grow well in gravel surfaces and Xeriscape gardens. This plant is often found in Australia’s beaches and even on sand dunes.
